What are some good and valuable tips for making a really good impression at a job interview?

I have an interview in like a week and I was wondering how I should prepare for it, because I have only had 4 other interviews previously which didn’t go very well and also I get really nervous and don’t know what to say. Also I have no previous work experience from another job to talk about, I can only mention about things I did at college. Pls help, thanks in advance.

I have a job interview coming up in a few days. I have a black pant suit, and I plan on wearing a white button down shirt underneath the jacket (I know it sounds boring, but it is better to err on the conservative side for a first interview). My question is, are women supposed to wear the button down shirt tucked, or untucked into the pants? Also, are you supposed to wear the collar of the shirt over the lapels of the jacket, or under the jacket? I want to make the best impression possible. Thanks!

What do you say to a potential employer asks you during a job interview ‘How come you haven’t found a job by now?’ or something to that effect? Is it appropriate to mention the bad economy and there scarce jobs? What would be a good way to say it? Have an interview this evening. Thanks!

It was 10 weeks from the closing date by the time I was short listed and interviewed.

It has been almost 3 weeks since the interview… I thought it went really well but I have not heard anything one way or the another.

I have been putting off a trip overseas because I am really interested in the job.

How long do you think is reasonable to expect to wait?

Do you think they would/should let me know even if I wasn’t successful?

What should I do?

I applied for a job at a movie theatre. It’s called warren movie theatre. It was opened last april. I turned in my job application on July 8, 2008. I called them back after 5 days and they approved my application. They haven’t call me back for an interview since then. What questions do they ask in an interview?

This is my first job interview ever and I have been asking people what to wear but I keep getting different answers. I don’t know whether to dress formal and professional or casual. Robeks is a casual place so I don’t want to look overly dressed for the job interview and at the same time I don’t want to seem to casual. People say to dress “nice” but what does that mean? Specific examples of clothes would be nice. I have the interview in two hours. Thanks a bunch to anybody who answers.
