I am 18 years old, and I applied today for a Perkins resturant. The particular resturant, has a “help wanted” sign up. I filled out the application, and put in my correct information. I handed the application to an employee, behind the counter. They said that they will call me, in about 10 days. I applied to be a busboy (a person who cleans off the tables).

What are the chances, of me getting a job interview?

It wasn’t for a real salaried job or anything, just at a clothing store. I didn’t get the job, which I found to be absolutely ludicrous. I answered the questions truthfully and straightforwardly. I was polite to the girl who interviewed me and was quite well dressed (better dressed than her…). Granted, I had no work experience other than as a student aide in my old college, but the fact that this was a job as a junior sales associate should have negated that.

Perhaps they saw me as overqualified? Could the fact that I go to an Ivy League school have caused me a problem? Could it be that they thought I wouldn’t devote enough time to them?

What are some tips on getting a job like this? I have to do something this summer and really have no desire to work in an office or to do an unpaid internship. So how do I bs my way into a job? Because for some reason I feel as though my interview wasn’t strong enough. How should you respond those silly questions they ask you?

Like what should I wear? I was planning on wearing an abercrombie t shirt over a polo with abercrombie jeans and abercrombie flip flops but idk. And what kind of questions will they ask me? How should I answer them? This is my first job interview so idk what to do.

I have an interview tomorrow with a healthcare recruiting firm and I want to have a few good questions to ask about the job/industry, but it will be a new field for me and I’m not sure what to ask about. Any suggestions?

What kind of questions do they ask on a second job interview? Is it more of the same stuff or do they go into detail trying to figure out how much info you know related to the job?

I would like to prepare for an advertising job interview and wanted to get a list of sample questions that are typically asked and would be good to prepare with. Any ideas?

I have a job interview tomorrow at PetSmart tomorrow. I know for serious jobs one should wear a business suit, which I have. But….This is a part time summer job for cleaning up mouse ***. Thanks for your suggestions!

In a little bit I have an interview for a job at a flower shop. I am being interviewed for the position of manager or weekend driver. Will some nice pants and a dressy shirt be ok or should I wear a black skirt?

Also what kinds of things do you think might be asked (for those of you who have/do work in a flower shop).

Thanks!

I have a job interview tommorow.
It is a second interview and I really want to make a good impression. What are good questions to ask at the end of the interview? I often feel stumped when they ask if I have any more questions, even thought they have covered everything!

I had an interview on July 19th and the second interview on July 23rd. I met with the recruiter then hiring manager. They said they would get back to me by the end of the week, but I didnt hear anything. I sent my thank you letters and called the Hiring manager on the 26th who said they had not made any decisions yet and was hoping to make one by this Friday. I am trying to stay hopeful, but the longer I wait the less of a chance I feel I have. What do you all think? Its a HR position!! This is my second interview with this company this year. I didnt get the first job!
